What to expect

  • A short wait after each person pauses

Choose Patient for slower speakers, Quick for brisk chat. Captions show the words as they are spoken.

  • Mistakes happen

Names, places, dialect and family terms can come out wrong. If something looks odd, say it another way.

  • A quiet room helps

Television and other voices nearby make it harder to hear who is speaking.

  • Not for medical, legal or official matters

For those, use a professional interpreter.
